Contemporary - Intermediate
Contemporary combines ballet and modern techniques with musical and emotional expression. Lyrical is a dance form based on creative expression that tells a story. Lyrical is a fusion of ballet and jazz which combines one’s own expression along with technical skills. This class explores the contemporary and lyrical styles with introductory level technique and focuses on interpreting music and choreography. Students will work on ability to pick up stylized choreography and movements. We recommend that dancers also take ballet class, but it is not required. Ages 8 & up.

Dress Code -

Students will be barefoot for this class.

Girls: Any color or pattern dancewear: bra tops, dance tanks, leotards, dance shorts, or dance leggings. Tights (any color) are optional. All clothing worn should be dance/athletic wear.

Boys: Fitted tank tops (A Line or undershirts) or fitted t-shirts and athletic shorts. No baggy clothes.

Mini Dancers: Ballet/Lyrical Combo
This ballet / lyrical combo class will teach students ballet basics along with lyrical dance which is based on creative expression that tells a story. This combo class will have two recital dances. Proper terminology is taught right from the start to help build a strong foundation for young dancers. Ages 3-5.

Dress Code -

Ballet Shoes must be worn for the ballet portion of the class. Ballet shoes or bare feet are used for the lyrical portion. Shoes must be purchased or approved through us for recital participation.

Girls: Any color or pattern leotard, biketard, unitard, or sports top w/ boy shorts or leggings. Skirts or tutus may be worn. Tights are optional. Any brand and/or style of pink ballet shoes may be worn for classes.

Boys: Tank top or t-shirt and athletic pants or shorts. Any brand and/or style of black ballet shoes may be worn for classes. Shoes must be purchased or approved through us for recital participation.

Tap classes are designed to develop rhythm, style and sound. Students will learn a variety of tap styles from Broadway to Rhythm tap. Exercises focus on building flexibility of the knees and ankles, coordination, and speed of movement. The core of this class will focus on the development of basic technical skills (shuffles, paradiddles, flaps, pickups, cramp-rolls, etc.), as well as timing and understanding music. Ages 5 - 8.

Dress Code -

Shoes must be purchased or approved through us for classes and recital participation.

Girls: Any color or pattern dancewear: bra tops, dance tanks, leotards, dance shorts, or dance leggings. Tights (any color) are optional. All clothing worn should be dance/athletic wear.

Leaps & Turns - Intermediate/Advanced
This Leaps & Turns class will break down the basic building blocks of the skills and fine tune the technique needed, so one can master a variety of leaps and turns. The emphasis on the class will be the leaps and turns used in jazz and contemporary style dance. However, ballet technique will be used as well, as it provides a strong framework for dancers to build upon as they progress in their trainings.

This class will explore multiple exercises to strengthen the dancer's overall technique as a dancer. Utilizing the Alixa Flexibility syllabus, yoga, pilates, drills, and other methods, this class will give dancer's the tools they need to take their dancing to the next level.

This class is NOT a recital class.

This is for Intermediate or Advanced students. Intermediate students ages 9 & up are eligible for this class if they have had at least one season in the Intermediate Level.

Acrobatics - Beginner/Intermediate

We are an Acrobatic Arts certified studio and follow the Acrobatic Arts syllabus! Acrobatic Arts is a tried and true systematic approach to acrobatic skills. Each level builds upon the skills learned in previous levels and helps to clearly define goals for each dancer while minimizing the risk of injury. The program breaks each level into five categories: Flexibility, Strength, Balancing, Limbering, and Tumbling. There is a set of skills for each category that must be achieved before moving on to the next level. This program is designed so that skills can be incorporated into dance seamlessly, which is the ultimate goal of any acrobatic dance program. Placement in this class should be approved by studio.

Dress Code -

Students will be barefoot for this class.

Girls: Any color or pattern dancewear: bra tops, dance tanks, leotards, dance shorts, or dance leggings. Tights (any color) are optional, but should be footless or stirrup. NO t-shirts - must be fitted dance/athletic wear!

Boys: Fitted tank tops (A Line or undershirts) or fitted t-shirts and athletic shorts. No baggy clothes.

Cheer - Intermediate/Advanced
This class works on basic/intermediate cheer jumps, chants, stunts, and basic/intermediate cheer movement and technique. It is the perfect class for cheerleaders ages 8 & up who are just starting out in cheer or cheerleaders wanting to enhance their cheer technique. This class will work on some basic tumbling as well. This is a performance based class that will participate in community performances, parades, and other events throughout the season. The final performance will be the Vibe Dance Center Recital which takes place in early June (date/time TBD). A pair of clean white sneakers are required for class or cheer sneakers from last season can be worn.

REQUIRED -- Cheer Team Class on Fridays from 5:30pm - 6:30pm (Beginners from 5:30pm - 6:15pm & Intermediate/Advanced from 5:45pm - 6:30pm) | This Cheer Team Class is required for cheer participation in addition to either the beginner or intermediate/advanced level cheer class. There is a Cheer Team Registration Fee of $50 per season in additional to the (2) class tuition fee each month. Each Cheerleader will be required to sell $100 in yearbook ads for our annual recital yearbook (or opt out by paying the fee). Participants in both Performance Team and Cheer will need to sell a combined $150.

Recommended Complimentary Classes: Acrobatics, Performance Team, Hip Hop, Jazz

Cheerleading Uniform Package is $280. Package includes: Team uniform top & skirt, briefs, 2 pairs of socks, uniform bow, cheer shoes, earrings (post or clip-on), practice t-shirt & shorts, a set of poms, & practice bow. Additional items such as an extra set of poms for practice and a duffle bag are not included, but suggested. If you were in cheer last year you will not need to purchase the package. Individual items that were outgrown or lost can be purchased separately.

Dress Code: Any dancewear and/or t-shirts and sweatpants. Any tennis shoes or boots that are not worn on the street can be worn. NO STREET SHOES can be worn inside the studio.

Ballet Technique & Pre-Pointe
This class will cover Ballet Technique and Pre-Pointe fundamentals. This is required for any student wishing to dance en pointe and all current pointe students. It is an excellent class for any ballet intermediate/advanced dancer (ages 10 & up) wanting to improve technique.

Pre-pointe classes are offered to ballet students who are not yet on pointe to further develop and strengthen the muscles necessary to go en pointe. Pre-pointe classes stress correct alignment and classical ballet technique. Pre-pointe classes also allow teachers to assess readiness, offering an atmosphere for proper evaluation of important skills. More advanced ballet/pointe students can also benefit from the extra technique training this class offers. This is classical ballet class strongly based in the Cecchetti method. Placement in this class must be approved by studio.

This beginner combo class introduces Jazz & Lyrical dance to young dancers.

Lyrical is a dance form based on creative expression that tells a story. Lyrical is a fusion of ballet and jazz which combines one's own expression along with technical skills.

This class explores the jazz and lyrical styles with introductory level technique and focuses on interpreting music and choreography. Students will work on ability to pick up stylized choreography and movements. Ages 5 - 8.

This class will perform 2 routines - one Jazz and one Lyrical - in our annual recital and a combo costumes with be required.

Dress Code -

Jazz shoes should be worn for this class. Shoes must be purchased or approved through us for recital participation. For the Lyrical portion of class students are barefoot.

This class is for beginner/intermediate students who have never taken kickline before.

Made popular by the Radio City Rockettes, kickline dance requires dancers to execute strong, high kicks in unique kick sequences along with formation changes. Kickline dance is a crowd pleaser known for its precision and uniformity. This class will promote teamwork, endurance, and flexibility.

***REQUIRED CHEER TEAM CLASS*** This class is in addition to the individual Cheer class by level and is required for the Beginner and Intermediate/Advanced classes (not required for the Mini Level Cheer/Hip Hop Combo class, but may participate with approval). This class expands on skills learned in each individual Cheer level and builds on those skills as a team with the multiple levels. This will also be extra time for working on routines/choreography for performances and events, but as individual classes and all together.

Cheer Team Fee of $50 per season in addition to the monthly regular (2) class tuition. Each Cheerleader will also be required to sell $100 in yearbook ads for our annual recital yearbook (or opt out by paying the fee). Musical Theater - Beginner/Intermediate/Advanced
Students will learn basic theatrical skills in voice, acting, and dance through combinations, skits, songs, scripts and games. Ages 5 & up.

This class will be charged a $35 tech/rehearsal/prop fee due to the additional rehearsals and fees for props and equipment. The fee will be billed in January.

Jazz shoes should be worn for this class. Shoes must be purchased or approved through us for recital participation. Sometime shoes other than jazz shoes will be needed for recital.

Girls: Any color or pattern dancewear: bra tops, dance tanks, leotards, dance shorts, or dance leggings. Tights (any color) are optional. All clothing worn should be dance/athletic wear. Hair should be pulled back into neat ponytail or bun.

Boys: Fitted tank tops (A Line or undershirts) or fitted t-shirts and athletic shorts. No baggy clothes. Any style/brand of jazz shoes may be worn for this class.

Non-binary dancers can pick the dress code choices from above that they are comfortable with.

Performance Team
We invite all dancers ages 3 and up to join our Performance Team! A minimum of two additional classes are required for participation. There is a $50 team fee per season. Each Team Member is required to sell $100 in yearbook ads for our annual recital yearbook (or opt out by paying the fee). Participants in both Performance Team and Cheer Team will only have to sell a combined $150. We will choreograph/rehearse routines to be performed in shows, parades, and other events. There will be extra fees for costumes/props/events, but this will be kept within reason and/or fundraising options will be available.

Kickline - Intermediate/Advanced
Made popular by the Radio City Rockettes, kickline dance requires dancers to execute strong, high kicks in unique kick sequences along with formation changes. Kickline dance is a crowd pleaser known for its precision and uniformity. This class will promote teamwork, endurance, and flexibility.

This is for intermediate and advanced dancers. Dancers must be approved by the studio for this class.

Dress Code:

Same as Jazz Classes. Additional shoes may be required.

Tiny Dancers
Tiny Dancers is a fun introduction to dance that includes: tap, ballet, creative movement/games, songs, and play with props to keep our little dancers moving!

This class will participate in the recital.

Dress Code:

Ballet shoes and tap shoes are required for this class. Shoes must be purchased or approved through us for recital participation. We offer tap shoes to borrow for beginning / trial students.

Girls: Any color or pattern leotard, biketard, unitard, or sports top w/ boy shorts or leggings. Skirts or tutus may be worn. Tights are optional.

Boys: Tank top or t-shirt and athletic pants or shorts.

Acrobatics - Primary/Beginner (Saturday)
We are an Acrobatic Arts certified studio and follow the Acrobatic Arts syllabus! Acrobatic Arts is a tried and true systematic approach to acrobatic skills. Each level builds upon the skills learned in previous levels and helps to clearly define goals for each dancer while minimizing the risk of injury. The program breaks each level into five categories: Flexibility, Strength, Balancing, Limbering, and Tumbling. There is a set of skills for each category that must be achieved before moving on to the next level. This program is designed so that skills can be incorporated into dance seamlessly, which is the ultimate goal of any acrobatic dance program. Ages 4 & up.

Dress Code -

Students will be barefoot for this class.

Hip Hop - Beginner (Saturday)
This free form, energetic, vibrant style of dance will expose dancers to a wide range of movements and styles! This class will incorporate variations of jazz, popping, locking, as well as help students build strength, flexibility, endurance, and balance. Ages 4 - 8.

Dress Code: Any dancewear and/or t-shirts and sweatpants. Any tennis shoes or boots that are not worn on the street can be worn. NO STREET SHOES can be worn inside the studio.
