Minimum age 5. This class is a combo class for beginning ballet dancers and tap dancers Dancers that have completed Creative Dance will find this as their next level of training! This class will include a more formal and traditional introduction to classical ballet technique with an approach that is fun and engaging. We will also introduce tap concepts and follow a structured format. Your child will get to use their knowledge from Creative Dance and build on their vocab and skills!

The sky is the limit with Dancers who do Acro! Commercial Dance as well as Musical Theater incorporate a lot of acrobats within their choreography that give that "WOW" factor. Ariana will get your dancer learning proper form. She believes without proper form there can be no progression. Dancers work on several rotations including: tumbling exercises, strength training, & flexibility!
Dancers will also have an introduction to jazz technique focusing on proper body placement/positions as well as learn basic kicks, turns, and leaps. Dancers will begin with a basic warm-up, stretch, go across the floor and learn basic combinations. No prior dance or ballet training necessary, however taking Into to Ballet is suggested as a pre requisite or taken with this class.

We will use our imaginations and fun props to express ourselves and discover new movements all to classical and relatable age-appropriate songs. Your dancers will learn forward and back rolls as well as bridges. Your dancer will be expected to take turns and share which will all be a part of the curriculum. It is a fun and imaginative 60 minutes!
If there are any behavioral issues that should be of concern to the instructor, please communicate that with Catalina prior to enrolling to ensure proper class placement and/or offer additional resources (additional fees my be required).
