Audition Prep (8 Week Workshop)(Ages 12-17)
This 8 Week Workshop is being presented by MTW Teacher Julia Ryann. This no experience necessary workshop is structured to help actors learn the basics of prepping for an audition. This workshop will feature scene study, cold read techniques, improv skills, monologue preparation, basic theater lingo, how to choose a 16-bar cut, simple music theory, and will feature a mock audition. The goal of this workshop is to prepare your actors for entering or continuing their journey in theatre and build their audition confidence!

Stage Combat (4 Week Workshop)(Ages 12-17)
4 Week Workshop: Guest Teacher Brandon Fields. This class is an exciting introduction into the wonderful world of stage combat! Your actor will learn the rudiments of safely fighting on stage while making it seem real to the audience. They’ll pick up skills in punches and slaps (and their corresponding sounds called “knaps”), choking and breaking free, uppercuts, and hair pulls. These skills will culminate in their usage in the final theatre performance at the end of the musical theatre workshop session, and your child will excitingly have these skills in their performer toolbox for years and years to come!
