This 60 min class is an introduction to the world of musical theatre for the performer in your family! Your student will receive high-quality training in acting, improv, singing, and choreography for musical theatre, learning techniques such as vocal projection, stage presence, character development, and basic music theory.

This skill-building class will culminate in a junior/kids’ musical performance in the spring. This class will also perform in the Fall Arts Festival and Winter showcase.
No prior experience is needed.

At this crucial time in their development, these classes are a fun and challenging training ground for the young musical theatre performer! These actors have a few years of experience and are ready for more challenging scene work and acting technique work in class; character choices, scene dynamics, monologues, songs, choreography and basic music theory.

This class requires Director Placement. Only actors who have been invited to attend this class will see this class available when registering.

This class will culminate in a full Musical Theatre performance in the spring. They will also perform in the Fall Arts Festival and the Winter showcase

This 90 min class gives fun, foundational training in acting, improv, singing, choreography, and performance technique. This class will also give training in specific performance techniques, such as audition preparation, character choices, building relationships in scenes, monologue work, scene improvisation & basic music theory.

Many MTW actors will stay in MT 2 for a few years of training before moving up to MT 3 class. Each year students progress in their abilities and gain confidence in their acting choices and stage performances. MT 2 classes will culminate in a musical theatre performance in the spring. Depending upon the production chosen, different classes may be joined together to make up the cast. This class will also perform in the September Fine Arts festival and December Winter showcase.

This class is a focused training ground for advanced musical theatre performers ready to hone their skills. These actors have had a few years of theatre experience and are ready for more advanced work.

Students receive training in singing, acting, choreography, and performance technique through working on traditional and modern musical theatre material with more advanced work in monologues and scene study; character development, scene dynamics, monologues, songs, choreography and basic music theory.

This class requires Director Placement. Only actors who have been invited to attend this class will see this class available when registering.

This class will culminate in a full Musical Theatre performance in the spring. They will also perform in the Fall Arts Festival and Winter showcase

This one-hour class is designed for those young actors who do not want to include singing and choreography in class. They will work with the instructor on acting skills/techniques to better understand an actor’s approach to scene work and monologues. They will learn ensemble and solo work through theatre games as well as scene work and monologue studies. These classes will participate in the Winter showcase.

This class is the perfect blend of musical theatre and acting skills for our youngest students. They will be given the opportunity to explore several aspects of our performing arts program with fast-paced games, improv, puppetry, and music basics. This is a great starting point for budding performers to have an introduction to the arts, which will set them up to successfully participate in classes as they get older.

This class is designed to help students grow in confidence, communication, and cooperation all while having a lot of fun performing! 

This class will perform in the Winter showcase and in an end-of-season/spring musical.
