This Summer Camp is a "Summertime" Inspired Camp, what a wonderful introduction to 4 different genres of dance. "Jazz, Acro, Hip hop and Lyrical" using imagination, movement and music to allow this beach party come to life!

Each day we will begin with a warm up to high energy music getting all dancers ready for a fun day. We will explore each style of dance for 50 minutes and snack breaks in between.

We encourage all dancers to arrive dressed in proper dance attire. Clean indoor runners, athletic wear " leggings and bodysuit preferred" Jazz shoes if you have them, otherwise barefoot will be just fine. Please pack snacks, lunch and a water bottle. Hair must be pulled back in a ponytail or bun.

We warm up to some really great music that will be sure to get those toes a tappin. Facts. Tap dance is a combination of British Isles clog, and step dancing with the rhythms of West African drumming. Tap Dance was created in the mid 1800s, by Irish step-dancers! Gene Kelly was the first one to combine different dance forms into Tap Dance!

Adult ballet is a great workout for the whole body. Ballet is a weight-bearing form of exercise which strengthens muscles, promotes healthy bones and burns calories. Because ballet uses the full range of muscles, also great for cognitive functions such as coordination and concentration.

We all know that ballet is great for posture and balance but did you know that adult ballet can also reduce the symptoms of depression, arthritis and diabetes. Ballet has also been shown to fend off dementia and osteoporosis.

This class will peek your child's interest in dance, while increasing coordination, concentration levels, cooperation, flexibility and ability to follow instructions. Classes often incorporate free movement with the utilization of props and games using different genres of music to give children the opportunity for self-expression. This class helps create the building blocks to prepare young dancers for the structure of a more advanced ballet class.
Ballet is the foundation of all dance. Body placement, flexibility, balance will be achieved in this class Musicality and expression of the body is the main focus of this class.
Dress Code: pink bodysuit, pink ballet tights, pink leather ballet shoes. Hair must be in a bun.

Emphasis on understanding correct body placement and proper use of turn out of the legs while introducing musicality and expression of the body is the main focus of this class.
