This class has dancers who are competitive and non-competitive enrolled. Learning the art of Lyrical. Lyrical is smoother and faster than ballet but not as fast as jazz. Having a solid beginning in ballet or taking ballet helps the dancer in lyrical. The movements are characterized by fluidity and grace by moving seamlessly from one step to the next. Lyrical uses the expression of emotions that the song conveys telling a story to the audience. Learning the art of Contemporary. Contemporary technique incorporates the elements of many different styles of dance, mostly from ballet and modern with an emphasis on movement of the torso, fall and recovery and improvisational characteristics. It has unpredictable changes in speed, rhythm and direction as well.
