Children will enjoy group play while learning the fundamental elements of gymnastics, with an emphasis on coordination, flexibility, and strength. Fun exercises such as skipping, hoping, running, jumping around obstacles are introduced. An awareness of the surroundings is stressed. Safe play is always taught so young children will always aware of their space in and out of the studio space.

Moving to pre-pointe is a very large step and requires a love of ballet and the desire to advance in technique. Pre-pointe classes are often offered to ballet students who are not yet on pointe to further develop and strengthen the muscles necessary to go en pointe. They stress correct alignment and correct classical ballet technique Pre-pointe classes also allow teachers to assess readiness, offering an atmosphere for proper evaluation of important skills. Tap dancers have the unique opportunity to be musicians and dancers at the same time. Tap class will begin with a set warm up focused on technique, clarity of sound, musicality, and strengthening the mind and body. Students will gain experience in traditional tap vocabulary through learning and practicing a variety of tap steps, short phrases, tap turns, and choreography using different rhythms supported by a wide range of music.

Non potty trained okay: Ages 2-3.5 is offered 2 days a week for a 2.5 hour time slot. We believe that this time slot allows this younger age group to get the most out of the classroom experience. Students should be able to sit in a chair and follow 2 step directions. We focus on literacy, math, calendar, stem activities abc study, and unit study.
