Tots and Me
Bring your child ages 18 months to 3 years old and we will explore the joy of creative movement, that you'll get to be a part of every step of the way. Creative movement classes are best suited for young dancers just starting out. This is a ballet/jazz-based class and many of our toddlers find this class perfect for their pace. Here they will learn about musicality and movement skills. Creative movement is learning skipping, hopping, or clapping to the beat of music. We enhance their imagination by introducing imagery or “make believe”. With imagery we can become dancing clowns or fairies or of course a ballerina. Props are a great way to introduce the use of more motor skills-and the children love it. We use as many props as possible. These Toddlers will also learn a dance routine and will require the purchase of one costume. We will meet one a week for 45 minutes. This class is a wonderful introduction to dance!
In addition, your student will start learning:
1.How to follow directions.
2.To share with other kids.
3. Be independent.

Tots and Me
Bring your child ages 18 months to 3 years old and we will explore the joy of creative movement, that you'll get to be a part of every step of the way.
4. How to take turns.
5. Gain in their own confidence.

Classical ballet is based on formalized movements and positions of the arms, feet, and body designed to enable the dancer to move with the greatest possible agility, control, speed, lightness, and grace. Classical-ballet technique is based on the turned-out position of the legs, which increases the range of movement through added mobility in the hip joint and also imparts a more pleasing line to the extended leg.

Competition Level 4-6-yr-old Turns, Leaps, & Jumps
This class is structured for students that are not new to dance concepts. Because leaps & turns focus on improving technical skills for leaps, jumps and turns it is called a technical class, and enrollment in this class is highly encouraged for the competitive dancer.
The class typically will include a warmup, flexibility, and conditioning with a more intense focus on body alignment, centering, and extension that will improve overall balance and core strength, and ultimately technique.
As the class progresses, the teacher will move into practicing various leaps, jumps, and turns while correcting posture and technique with the individual dancer.
Enrollment in a leaps & turns technique class allows an instructor the opportunity to correct and improve upon skills introduced in a jazz or ballet class as well as early intervention with improper form and alignment that may impede mastering future dance skills.
Having good technique is an indication of the maturity of a dancer and thereby increases scores when performing a technical skill at a competition.
