In this class, students begin to understand the inter relatedness of barre and center while continuing to work on basic alignment. The vocabulary will become more extensive, and the importance of transitioning between positions and strengthening stability will be stressed.

This technique class will focus on faster and more intricate footwork. The dancer at this level will develop speed, clarity, dynamics, and the ability to execute to complex rhythmic combinations. Students will begin to focus on incorporating the whole body and the specifics of where the movement and sounds come from.

In this level, students will be challenged to explore the underlying intention and meaning of movement while working on interpreting music and expressing emotions. This class is for mature dancers that are ready to find an open and honest connection to movement and incorporate this into their dancing. Ballet is required with this class.

A variety of genres and styles of music are used in class to highlight creative and distinct rhythms. Students learn to clap rhythms, sing rhythms, and count rhythms and will be challenged to think outside of the box.

Barre class is a fitness class used to sculpt and strengthen your muscles. This class consists of isometric interval training to target the muscles in your arms, thighs, seat, and abs. Barre class starts with a warmup that consists of free weights, planks, and push-ups. Students then continue on with thigh and seat work, at the barre, and finish with abdominal series. The class works you to the point of fatigue and uses stretches for relief. You will need a mat and free weights.

In this level, students will have a more vigorous warm-up to develop the skills needed to perfect their technique, understand how it relates to their center work, and build muscular endurance. Concentrating on proper alignment, use of breath, quality of structural form, oppositional energy, moving through space, directional changes, speed and performance quality. Dancers will gain a strong awareness of how their anatomy and breath is connected to their movement. Focus will be on emotional connection to movement & performance qualities, clear understanding of breath, articulation of the legs, feet, & arms, and to master all previous years' skills. Ballet is required with this class.

In this level, students will continue to explore improvisation, contact improvisation, and somatic principles. They will work on more intricate choreography and perfect their transitioning skills. All previous years' skills should be ingrained in their muscle memory so they can discover their individual style and have a greater freedom of expression. Ballet is required with this class.

In this class, students will be challenged with a contemporary hip hop routine after a short warm-up. Choreography will be high energy and fast paced, and will focus on rhythm, hitting beats, agility, and showmanship.

In this level, students will be challenged to explore the underlying intention and meaning of movement while working on interpreting music and expressing emotions. This class is for mature dancers that are ready to find an open and honest connection to movement and incorporate this into their dancing. Ballet is required with this class.

In this level, students will have a more vigorous warm-up to develop the skills needed to perfect their technique, understand how it relates to their center work, and build muscular endurance. Concentrating on proper alignment, use of breath, quality of structural form, oppositional energy, moving through space, directional changes, speed and performance quality. Dancers will gain a strong awareness of how their anatomy and breath is connected to their movement. Focus will be on emotional connection to movement & performance qualities, clear understanding of breath, articulation of the legs, feet, & arms, and to master all previous years' skills. Ballet is required with this class.

In this class, students will learn the fundamentals of modern dance technique. Basic anatomy will be introduced as well as the study of the muscles and their movements to gain a higher kinesthetic awareness. Focus will be on connection to the ground (and moving from standing to floor or vice versa), shifting of weight, catch & release, sequencing the body so it moves as a whole, spacial awareness, and musicality. Ballet is required with this class.

prerequisite: permission of instructor ONLY

In this class, students will begin training their legs and feet for pointe work through a combination of ballet technique and physical therapy type exercises. We will work on strengthening the legs, feet, ankles, backs and abdominals, all needed for the intensity of pointe work. Students are required to have a TheraBand and a tennis ball for this class, as well as participate in at least two ballet classes a week. Students will go en pointe only with the permission of their teacher.

In this level, students will build on the previous years' vocabulary and skills, as they begin to put steps into a sequence, where transitioning through the movements and space will be stressed. Focus will be on through-line, counter balance, and dynamics as well as a more intense look at the previous years' skills. At least two years in this level is required before moving to the next level. Ballet is required with this class.
