By participating in PACE classes, you agree to assume the risk involved in participating in instruction in your home or other non-studio location, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Performing Arts Connection & Education, its owners, faculty and staff from any and all liability, claims, demands, and causes of action whatsoever, arising out of or related to any loss, damage, or injury, illness, including death, that may be sustained by the participant while using the online instruction.
SCHOOL CALENDAR: We follow the Wood County School Calendar for major holidays and closings.
ABSENCES: To ensure a complete dance education and continued growth, regular class attendance is essential. Missed classes are not refunded and can be made up in another class offering of the same level/age.
DANCE ATTIRE is required for all ballet & jazz classes. This enables the teacher to properly observe the students body movements for correct form and technique. Hair must be pulled off the face. Please do not wear jewelry as it is a hazard. Dance shoes should only be worn inside the studio. Street shoes are not permitted on the dance floor. Please see the PACE dress code for detailed information.
FOOD POLICY: No food or drinks are allowed in the class rooms. Water is OK.
PERSONAL ITEMS: Please label all personal items & keep the lobby clean for parents by taking your dance bags and shoes to the break rooms or place on the back wall of your dance room. Turn cell phones to vibrate. PACE is not responsible for personal items lost, stolen, or damaged. We deliver unclaimed items to Good Will in May & November.

PLACEMENT: Dance is a cumulative learning process and everyone progresses at a different rate. It is the instructors duty to evaluate students & meet with a parent if there is a need to move a dancer up or down a level based on technique and ability. Parents may request an evaluation of student progress. Classes are filled on a first come/first serve basis and class schedules and staff are subject to change without notice.
MEDICAL EMERGENCIES: The undersigned gives permission for the Performing Arts Connection & Education, its owners, employees, and/or agents to seek emergency medical treatment for the participant(s) in the event they are unable to reach any parent or guardian. The undersigned also agrees that they themselves will be responsible for any financial debt incurred by said action.
RELEASE OF LIABILITY: As the legal parent or guardian, I release and hold harmless the Performing Arts Connection & Education, its owners, employees, and/or agents from any and all liability, claims, demands, and causes of action whatsoever, arising out of or related to any loss, damage, or injury that my be sustained by the participant and/or the undersigned during the course of the PACE program, including special events, and transportation to and from such events.
PHOTOS/VIDEOS: I understand and acknowledge that, from time to time throughout the school year, my child's picture and/or video might be taken while participating in dance classes and/or functions involving PACE. I do hereby authorize The Performing Arts Connection & Education to use these photographs/video for the purposes of illustration, advertisement and publication in any manner whatsoever.
Covid19 protocols below for aerobic activity and social distancing guidelines by WVSSAC and the Governors Come Back Guideline:
- Social Distance by waiting outside until faculty brings students in one at a time 6 feet apart.
- Wash or sanitize hands on entry and dismissal.
- Touchless temperature for everyone who enters the building.
- Parents are asked to wait outside, live class will be viewable on BAND.
- Dancers will have their own space to dance.
- Bring a hand towel for ballet barre work.
- Masks are recommended but not required during aerobic activity.
- Masks are required in the restroom, hallway and lobby area.
- Bring a personal water bottle. The water fountain is closed.
- Keep dance bags in your assigned space.
- Take shoes off in the Lobby before entering the studio, including preschool parents who observe.
- Classes are schedule with time to sanitize between each age group and class.
If you or your dancer can answer yes to any of the following on any day during the 4 weeks please reschedule or email us to take the class on zoom.
o Have you been in close contact with a confirmed case of COVID-19?
o Are you experiencing a cough, shortness of breath, or sore throat?
o Have you had a fever in the last 48 hours?
o Have you had new loss of taste or smell?
o Have you had vomiting or diarrhea in the last 24 hours?
