-I/we release and indemnify Sunset Dancers and its teachers from liability for any injury, illness or death sustained during or related to dance, tumbling, or karate instruction or performance.
-I/we understand the risks related to dance, tumbling and karate.
-I/we give media use rights permission for my dancer to appear in dance photos on social media and performance videos uploaded to YouTube or other video hosting site.
-I/we will pick up my dancer on time.
-I/we understand the dress code and hair requirements. Ballet dancers will wear peach-color (ballet pink) tights, leotard (preferably pink for Tots, purple Ballet 1, light blue Ballet 2, black Ballet 3-4, but any color is acceptable), and pink ballet flat shoes (girls) or black shoes (boys). Irish performance classes must wear Irish Ghillies (shoes.) Fitted, flexible clothing and bare feet are required for all other classes, though sneakers are necessary for Hip Hop. Jazz and Tumbling classes will be barefoot for class and performance. Long hair must be secured in a ballet bun for ballet and ponytail for all other classes. No bare midriffs.
-All Ballet, Jazz and Hip Hop items are available for sale on our website. Other similar items are also allowed.
-I will write my child's name in both dance shoes. Shoes get left/lost every week. Teachers may write names in shoes if parents do not.
-I/we will not roam the Conforto residence.
-I/we certify that my dancer is capable of using the restroom alone. Teachers will not assist dancers in the restroom.
-In case of emergency, Sunset Dancers has my permission to seek medical care for my child.
-The performance fee is $100 + $40 for each extra costume. Most Nutcracker costumes will be returned to the studio as rentals, and most spring costumes will be kept by the dancers.
-Nude leotard must be worn beneath costume for costume changes. (Only for dancers in multiple classes).
-Rental costumes returned late or dirty will incur a $50 fee to the account.
-I will check my provided email regularly for dance updates from Sunset Dancers or natalie.conforto@gmail.com
-No TOYS, gum, food or drink allowed in the studio except for water.
-I will pay tuition by the first day of each month. All payments will be done online through auto-pay.
-If my payment method fails, I will be assessed a $5 fee per dancer.
-I understand that a $5 late fee will be assessed by the 15th of the month for late tuition, in addition to the $5 per dancer fee for failed payment method.
-Accounts that are 30 days late will be assessed an additional $20 fee.
-Dancers will not receive costumes or photos until tuition has been paid in full.
-It is my responsibility to check my payment method on file if I am a returning customer. The system will automatically charge the payment method on file on the 1st or 2nd day of dance months for tuition and fees.
-If our venue cancels our recital, we'll video a recital in studio.
-I/we understand there are no make-up lessons unless teacher cancels class. If teacher must quarantine, lessons will be provided via Zoom.
-I/we will not bring sick dancers to class. If dancer is coughing or sneezing, instructor may put a mask on my dancer.
-Teachers may take temperatures and send home anyone with a 100-degree temperature or higher.
-Dancers who disrupt class will sit out until they are ready to follow instructions.
-4+ absences might disqualify a dancer from performing. No refunds.
-I understand that when my dancer misses class, the whole class struggles to learn choreography and formations. By registering for dance, I commit to make sure my dancer attends.
-Registration for Fall Nutcracker 2025 will begin July 2025. I understand I'll need to re-register and submit new measurements for each new session.
-If I leave measurements blank, I give permission for Sunset Dancers staff to measure my dancer.
-Monthly tuition includes 4 classes for the month for all once-a week classes. If we only hold 3 classes in a month, tuition will be prorated or include a 5th week from another month.
Karate monthly tuition includes 6 classes each month. Anything beyond 6 classes per month is a bonus for no charge to the students.

-Monday, January 6: Spring classes begin.
-March 31-April 4: NO CLASS for Spring Break (following Jordan District calendar.)
-Friday, April 18, 2025 Dance Photos (Times TBA 2:30-6:30pm) optional dance photos at Mandie Kay Photography, 8641 S. Tintic Lane, West Jordan. Pointe Company required to attend photos.
-Monday, April 21, 7:00pm Pointe Company and Pre-Pointe performance at Riverton Library
-Friday, May 16, 3:30-7:00 pm: Dress rehearsal at West Hills Middle School for ALL DANCERS the entire time. Parents of Tots will stay.
-Dancers who miss ANY PART of Dress Rehearsal May 16, 3:30-7:00 pm will not perform in the recital. I commit to have my dancer attend the full dress rehearsal.
-Saturday, May 17, 5pm: Recital performance at West Hills Middle School. Call time for all dancers is 4:15pm.
-Dance Tuition will be charged via auto-pay according to how many times the class meets in a month.
PRE-POINTE AND POINTE COMPANY CONTRACT
-Pointe and pre-pointe dancers commit to attend three times weekly January, February, March, April, May, June, August, September, October, and November. Pointe and Pre-pointe dancers must have 85% attendance to qualify for pointe shoes (Pre-pointe) and solos (Pointe). Tardies count as half attendance for the day. Hair and dress code violations count as a tardy.
-All Pointe Company dancers are expected to attend dance pictures, regardless of whether you are purchasing dance pictures. Put the date in your calendar. Dance pictures count for 3 days of attendance.
-Dancers must bring pointe shoes and flat shoes to each class. On flat shoe days, dancers are required to wear flat shoes. Dancers who are not wearing the proper shoes on the prescribed days will incur a tardy.
-Pointe shoes are about $125 per pair, and dancers go through 4-5 pairs per year. I will not allow my dancer to dance on dead shoes, which may cause injury.
-Pointe and Pre-Pointe dancers must all wear a nude leotard under costumes for costume changes at all dress rehearsals and performances.
-Solo dancers must bring provided folder, supplies to take notes during each solo rehearsal, and come prepared with memorized choreography.
-Solos are earned by audition, seniority, attendance, reliability at past performances, and attitude.
-Soloists must maintain 85% attendance in order to perform solos.
-Understudies will be cast for all solos. Understudies will perform if the cast soloist fails attendance and behavior requirements.
