MASK ADVISORY FOR VACCINATED AND UNVACCINATED RESIDENTS

Effective July 30: The Department of Public Health has issued a new mask advisory in light of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s updated guidance. Fully vaccinated individuals are advised to wear a mask or face covering when indoors (and not in your own home) if you have a weakened immune system, or if you are at increased risk for severe disease because of your age or an underlying medical condition, or if someone in your household has a weakened immune system, is at increased risk for severe disease, or is an unvaccinated adult. Masks are still mandatory for all individuals on public and private transportation systems (including rideshares, livery, taxi, ferries, MBTA, Commuter Rail and transportation stations), in healthcare facilities and in other settings hosting vulnerable populations, such as congregate care settings.

The Department of Public Health issued a public health advisory effective July 30 that advises all unvaccinated residents to continue to wear masks in indoor settings and when they can’t socially distance. The advisory also recommends that vaccinated residents who are at increased risk from COVID-19, or who live with someone at increased risk, should wear a face covering indoors (other than in their home).

The following persons are exempt from the face coverings requirement:

Children under 5 years old.
Persons for whom a face mask or covering creates a health risk or is not safe because of any of the following conditions or circumstances:
the face mask or covering affects the person’s ability to breathe safely;
the person has a mental health or other medical diagnosis that advises against wearing a face mask or covering;
the person has a disability that prevents them from wearing a face mask or covering; or
the person depends on supplemental oxygen to breathe.
To ensure that NMD Studio will meet cleaning and sanitizing standards, as well as appropriate social distance rules we have instituted the following protocols:

All Students, Parents, Teachers, Staff are asked and highly recommended to wear their masks, but it is not a requirement. All children under the age of 5, are exempt from wearing a mask. Please see https://www.mass.gov/info-details/covid-19-mask-requirements for more information.
Parents will not be allowed to wait in the waiting room while their child is in class – All students can be dropped off by Parent/Guardian, then must go to the car and wait till the end of class to pick your dancer up. We will have Zoom streams available to watch classes from your car or home. Our hope is that this will help ensure less traffic and less contact to help stop the spread of germs and viruses. This is only until the Government changes their regulations.
All classes will be limited to 10 students and one teacher.
Any classes such as Stretch, Yoga, Pilates etc. students will be required to bring their own mats.
If there is any student, parent, family member, teacher or staff that doesn’t feel well we ask them to stay home and not to return to the studio until they feel well or cleared by their doctor.
If any parent, family member, student, or staff has had exposure to COVID, they are required to take a negative COVID test before returning to the studio.

Intermediate Dancer

Please keep your sneakers for Hip Hop class only – Please Do Not bring your street shoes into the studio as they mark up the floors

Inter/Advanced Dancers:

Please wear appropriate clothing to class- nothing too short (ex. past finger length with hands by side), nothing over revealing, no low cut shirts

Please keep your sneakers for class only – Please Do Not bring your street shoes into the studio as they mark up the floors

Junior – Advanced Dancers:
Form Fitting clothing (ex. Leggings, tshirt, shorts with tights, Any color Leotard and Tights )

Shoes: Theatricals “Lyrical Flow” Canvas Closed-Toe Shoes, Foot Undies, Half Soles Shoes, Bare Feet

No smoking or drinking on property – violation of this policy will result in immediate dismissal from the studio

3 unexcused absences will result in a warning from teachers as well as a mandatory meeting with student and parent

Please be mindful of noise level in common area – please be respectful to our dancers in class

Trash Can Policy- We are a “drama-free” studio. We are all here to dance and support each other- We have a trash can at the door- leave your issues there.

NMDStudio is not responsible for any lost or stolen belongings.

All belongings must be kept in a designated area during class.

NO ELECTRONIC DEVICES IN DANCE STUDIO – if it’s a requirement for student, student will be asked to leave phone or watch with teacher in case of emergency

Silence all electronics upon entering building, please take phone calls outside in respect for dancers and teachers

NMDStudio will not tolerate rudeness. Please be respectful of classmates and teachers.

No gum in dance studio

Clean up after yourself – NMDStudio is not responsible for cleaning up your mess!

Children must be supervised by parents or guardian

Students must be picked up immediately at the end of class.

Tuition will not be prorated due to holidays, sickness, weather or other cancellations.

Rules and Regulations of NMDStudio and Masjah Studio: I take full responsibility for myself and my Dancer in class and/or on studio grounds. I take full responsibility for any loss or damage to my property or affiliates property while on studio grounds. I take full responsibility for any bodily injury which may occur in class or on studio grounds. I have read all NMDStudio & Masjah Studio’s Covid Rules and Procedures, and understand that I, my dancer, and any guardian etc. that may enter studio grounds must abide by these rules. I understand, If an event occurs, where the Government orders a Mandate shutdown, all classes will switch to remote, and your payment will cover the month of class(es) your dancer is registered. I understand that NMDStudio, Masjah Studio and it’s affiliates prohibits drinking/smoking/drug use in or on studio grounds and property. I release NMDStudio, Masjah Studio and its Affiliates from any loss, damage or injury. I Authorize NMDStudio and it’s staff to bring myself or the child to the nearest medical facility if the need arises. I give NMDStudio and affiliates permission to use my child or mine photo in any print,advertising, or social media. I understand there is a registration fee of $15 for single dancers and $30 for a Family for all dancer’s and due when signing up my dancer or myself. I understand that if the fee is not paid my child’s spot or mine will not be held and my dancer or I can not participate in class. I have read and understand the Covid Regulations(see attached rules and regulations page) . I understand I Must sign in and out with the Teacher or Front desk staff upon arrival and departure. I understand if there is another parent/guardian, friend etc, picking up my child I must let the teacher or front desk staff know and the person must also sign in or out depending on the situation. I understand I must give NMDStudio a 2 week warning if my child is dropping a class. I understand that if my dancer is dropping a class I must submit a 2 week warning or I will be responsible for the next month’s tuition. I have read and understand all rules and regulations listed above for NMDStudio and Masjah Studio and its affiliates
