STARSTRUCK REGISTRATION, TUITION, STUDIO POLICIES & PROCEDURES
REGISTRATION
Students may register at any time of the year. This studio does not issue refunds or credits due to illness, vacations, religious observances, extended travel or for any other reason deemed non-refundable by StarStruck.
TUITION AND FEES
The signer of this contract agrees that tuition is a semester fee and must be paid before student attends class as per the payment option selected. Tuition may be pro-rated for late sign-ups. Tuition is a semester charge and, if desired, can be divided into 2 or 3 equal installments for a Payment Plan fee of $30.
I understand payment may be made by check, cash or credit card. There is a non-refundable registration fee for all students of $50.00 per semester.
I understand that any returned check will incur a $35.00 fee to cover bank charges incurred by StarStruck.
I understand that if a check has been returned for non payment only cash, certified check or money order will be accepted for the remainder of the school year.
I understand that students will not be able to participate in class if tuition is not current.
I understand that there are no refunds if a student withdraws from a class.
I understand that correspondence from StarStruck will be made via email. The Studio does not send statements. Payments are due according to the payment schedule of my selected Payment Option. I will mail my payment if the due date falls during a school break and auto payment or credit card has not been established. I understand if I pay online I will be charged the fee equal to what the credit card/bank charges. These fees go directly to the payment company and not StarStruck.
PAYMENT PLAN
In order to enroll in the StarStruck Payment Plan program, you must enroll in Auto Pay in your parent portal and agree to the scheduled payment dates. The individual responsible for payment must also sign the contract. Although every Payment Plan Agreement must have your credit card information, if you wish to pay by check or cash, payments must be made in person at least 48 hours before a payment is due. Your card will be charged on the payment due date. All charges are non-refundable. If your credit card is declined and you do not make payment within one business day, you will incur a $40 late payment fee.
ATTENDANCE & MAKE UP CLASSES
It is expected that every student arrive on time for every class and is in the proper attire required for the class. Poor attendance and/or chronic tardiness could result in being dismissed from a class without refund. Make up classes are not offered. StarStruck, its team members and employees reserve the right to remove a child from class if there is any question of illness, symptoms, raised temperature and parents/guardian will be notified immediately.
REHEARSALS AND CLASS CONFLICTS
If a student is going to be absent, please log the absence in the portal, email us, or call 772.283.2313 and inform us. For all musical theatre classes and programs with rehearsal schedules, conflicts must be given in writing at the time of registration. StarStruck reserves the right to dismiss any cast member without refund for missed rehearsals.
REFUNDS
There are no refunds if a student is absent or withdraws from a class(es) at any time in a semester; chooses other activities instead of a StarStruck class or voluntarily misses a class.
EXTREME WEATHER OR UNEXPECTED INTERRUPTION OF CLASSES
If StarStruck cancels a class(es) due to extreme weather or any event deemed necessary by StarStruck, replacement of missed class(es) will be scheduled at the Artistic Director's discretion. Call the studio at (772) 283-2313 for a prerecorded message or visit StarStruckFL.org to find out if a class(es) are cancelled for such reasons.
DRESS CODE
Required dancewear and dance shoes must be worn to all classes. Failure to wear required dancewear will result in students being asked to sit out the class for which the student is unprepared. Shoes must be worn at all times in all areas of StarStruck. Flip-flops are NOT allowed in dance rooms or on the stage. The official StarStruck DRESS CODE can be found online at StarStruckFL.org. If your class requires a Costume Fee, such fees are due in full at the beginning of the semester. Once a costume is ordered, the costume fee is non-refundable.
SOCIAL MEDIA & TEXTING
Students may not use or have access to their phones during class times unless specified by the instructor. Students may not take photos or videos of other students without permission. Posting unapproved material could result in dismissal at the discretion of the Artistic Director. No refunds will be given. Students may not text any employee at StarStruck at any time for any reason. (This rule does not apply to Jennifer Yormak or Peter Jones) Use the front desk as your means of communication regarding any StarStruck information.
PARENT RESPONSIBILITY TO BE AWARE OF DATES & EVENTS
I understand it is my responsibility as the parent/guardian to be aware of all StarStruck activities, such as observation days, recitals, ShowCase, sharings, extra classes and dates the Academy is open or closed. StarStruck provides an annual calendar online at StarStruckFL.org and email reminders to the email address that you have supplied to StarStruck. I understand it is the parent/guardian's responsibility to regularly check the online calendar and emails to ensure I am informed. I understand it is my responsibility to update any changes in personal information, by visiting the Parent Portal (https://dancestudio-pro.com/online/starstruckfl). For families where the child resides in two households, I understand it is my responsibility to ensure all communication is shared with all guardians. Your cell phone will also give us the ability to text you for any last minute updates.
STUDENT ETIQUETTE AND CONDUCT
Students are required to attend every class and arrive on-time wearing the required clothing. Polite behavior is always expected. StarStruck adheres to a zero-tolerance bully policy. Dismissal from a class is at the discretion of the Artistic Director. No refunds will be given.
EMERGENCIES
I understand that in case of emergency, if I am unable to be contacted, I give permission to StarStruck staff to authorize any emergency action necessary. It is my responsibility as parent/guardian to note on my child's registration any serious allergies or medical conditions.
RELEASE / LIABILITY WAIVER
In consideration of the benefits derived from StarStruck, students/guardians waive all claims arising from dance instruction, rehearsal, training and performances at StarStruck and/or any other designated off-site performance space, whether caused by negligence or otherwise, and for bodily injury, property damage or loss or otherwise, that students may incur against StarStruck, its successors and assigns, its officers, directors, shareholders, volunteers, employees and agents, and their heirs, executors, and administrators. Additionally, students/guardians waive all claims arising out of (1) the act of being transported to and from such activities, or (2) other StarStruck events or functions. The student(s) named on this contract does voluntarily participate in any/all StarStruck activities and I understand that certain risks are involved and waive the right to any legal action for any injury sustained at StarStruck or off-site StarStruck Events or Performances resulting from normal dance activity or any other activity conducted by the student(s) before, during or after class time. I certify that the student(s) listed on this contract is(are) in good health and capable of participating in all the activities and classes. I am aware that StarStruck may videotape or photograph students. StarStruck is hereby granted permission to use this media in brochures, web site, posters, advertisements and/or other promotional materials for StarStruck. Permission is hereby granted for StarStruck Academy and StarStruck Theatre to copyright such photographs in its own name.
