Our Agreement With You: As an enrolled student of Bundaberg Dance Academy (BDA) these terms and conditions form the basis of your agreement with BDA.
Refunds, Discounts and Credits: No refunds, discounts or credits are given for missed classes unless discussed and approved with the principal before missing the class.
Class Procedure: BDA request that young children are taken to the toilet before their class commences to avoid disruption to the classes. Please be punctual in arrival and ensure your child is collected on time as BDA is not responsible for the safety of children outside their class times. It is the parent’s responsibility to talk with and educate their children on the dangers of talking to strangers and leaving the premises unattended. BDA cannot be responsible for students on the premises outside of their scheduled class times. If your child/children are on BDA premises and are approached by a stranger they are to report it to a BDA staff member straight away. BDA reserves the right to exclude students and parents whose behaviour is disruptive or abusive. This includes viewing or participating parents who talk throughout the lesson.
Costs: The enrolment fee is $50 for the first student, $35 for the second, $25 for the third and free for any students thereafter. This fee is non-refundable. Fees for lessons are charged by the term. Once a student has been enrolled and a spot secured in the class, you are responsible for and agree to pay all fees incurred for the entire term, even if the student withdraws from BDA or does not complete the term for any reason. Students who enrol mid-term will be charged on a pro-rata basis. Overdue invoices will incur a late fee of $35.00, if the invoice remains unpaid over subsequent terms it will continue to incur $35.00 per term thereafter. If BDA deem it necessary to recover this debt via a collection service, you will be responsible for all additional costs involved in the process. If you have an outstanding balance from previous terms you will not be permitted to resume dance in the following term. Once your account is up to date, you will be permitted to continue classes, however the full term fee will still be payable regardless of how many classes are missed. Sibling discounts and multi class discounts are available, for more information regarding this, please talk to Peta. Students are encouraged to participate in exams (optional), presentations (optional) and annual concerts (compulsory), all of which will incur some additional charges. These may include exam fees, extra rehearsal fees, annual concert package, costume hire, make-up, concert ticket purchase, photograph purchase (optional). Please feel free to talk with Peta about what to expect financially if you chose to participate in additional activities. BDA reserves the right to cancel or change the timetable and price structure at any point in time. Term length varies during the year, some will have more or less days than others due to public holidays, exams, concert rehearsals, etc (During exam days, all normal classes will be cancelled, during concert week there will be extra rehearsals). The term fee will remain the same regardless of amount of days in a term. Prices are strictly calculated based on a whole term and not days within that term. BDA reserves the right to cancel or change the timetable and price structure at any point in time.
